Cara is the owner and Speech Therapist of Palo Verde Speech Therapy, LLC.  Cara has nearly 30 years experience in education of young children including 10+ years as an elementary classroom teacher and 12 years as a speech therapist working with students in preschool, elementary school, and home-health environments.  

Cara received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Speech Language Pathology from Northern Arizona University where she was recognized by Faculty and Staff of the Department of Communications Sciences and Disorders as “Outstanding Summer Track Graduate Clinician”.  She has been professionally recognized by the Council for Exceptional Children as an“Outstanding Related Service Provider”. 

Cara is passionate about helping young children develop clearer communication skills through improved speech intelligibility, vocabulary, spoken grammar, and functional communication while incorporating treatments which are child-friendly, evidence-based, and related to routines/functional outcomes.
